A data-informed approach, combining usage metrics, customer feedback, and market signals to make decisions.
An interest in how AI is changing software development, from generated commits to AI-assisted reviews.
A drive to improve solutions instead of copying what already exists.
Previous success leading the product direction and strategy for technically complex developer tools, SCM, CI/CD, or code collaboration software.
The proven ability to translate intricate developer workflows into clear product roadmaps.
Experience bringing stakeholders together across product, engineering, marketing, and developer advocacy.
Responsibilities
Version control is a critical part of our IDEs, but we want to take it further.
We’re turning VCS into a strategic product direction and, eventually, we aim to grow it into a dedicated ecosystem.
As the Senior Product Manager, you’ll figure out where JetBrains should play in the VCS space, how to evolve our Git and code review experiences, and what new opportunities exist beyond our current tools.
You’ll have the ownership to set a clear product vision that covers everything from complex local merges to remote, containerized, and AI-assisted workflows.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and quality leads, as well as product marketing, developer advocacy, and the IntelliJ Platform teams.
Together, you'll figure out how to handle the next era of software delivery, including tracking provenance and reviewing AI-generated changes across different environments.
