Requirements
Export Control Requirement:
Familiarity with CAD software/tools such as AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks is desirable.
Familiarity with process simulation software; ChemCAD is the preferred choice.
Previous co-op, internship, or relevant project background aiding engineering & creation of industrial machinery and/or automation solutions is an advantage.
Prior exposure to ISO9001 or a comparable quality framework is advantageous.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools & methodologies is advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
Rate for this position is expected to be between $23 to $27 per hour.
Responsibilities
Support project teams in diverse tasks: requirements gathering, concept & preliminary builds, process flow diagram (PFD) and piping & instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, equipment specification & selection, engineering calculations, bill of materials (BOM) creation, materials selection, code & standard review/research, fabrication & assembly support, troubleshooting, and more.
Generate plans & layouts using CAD software/tools and process simulation tools.
Participate in internal & client project meetings and compose reviews.
