Requirements

3+ years of professional experience with the design or build of MEP (Manufacturing Electrical Plumbing)  and HVAC building systems.

Experience in planning and day-to-day management of engineering, procurement, and construction processes for aerospace, industrial or large commercial construction projects.

Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems including delta/wye transformers, building lighting, building construction specifications, and facility grounding.

Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches.

Experience with plumbing design and operation including domestic and process  water systems.

Knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles including refrigeration, chillers, boilers, HEPA filtration and air handling equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $113,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Muon seeks a Facilities Engineer to join our Facilities team.

You will help design, build, activate and maintain our next-generation spacecraft manufacturing facilities.

This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems at Muon Space’s San Jose facility.

Lead internal technical facilities and infrastructure projects, consulting engineers and contractors throughout the entirety of the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, documentation and maintenance process.

Provide technical engineering support/information to ensure construction/maintenance complies with all standards, codes, and specifications.

Verify maintenance is being completed and coordinate all repair, build, and contingency systems efforts for HVAC (including cleanroom/HEPA infrastructure), security systems, fire protection, and other manufacturing infrastructure.
