Responsibilities
The Tax Operations Manager leads the execution and optimization of tax operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant tax reporting and withholding.
This role oversees Forms 1099, 1042-S, and 8288 reporting, transaction‑based withholding, and tax obligations related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
The role partners closely with the Payments, Relationship and Releases teams as well as external advisors to manage withholding, reporting, reconciliations, and audits while mitigating regulatory and financial risk.
The Tax Operations Manager maintains oversight of tax controls, monitors regulatory changes, and supports complex transactional activity, including acquisitions and escrow‑based payments. In addition to day‑to‑day tax operations, this position drives process standardization, scalability, and efficiency through strong operational controls, technology enablement, and cross‑functional collaboration, contributing to the organization’s overall compliance and transaction success.
Lead and manage the Tax Operations team, providing coaching, performance management, and development to ensure high‑quality execution and strong employee engagement.
