TeaKo (“we”, “us”) provides a job matching platform that helps users discover roles and tailor applications.

Information we collect

Account data

  • Name, email address, and basic profile information from your Google or GitHub sign-in.

Content you provide

  • Resume files and resume text you upload.
  • Career preferences you enter (target roles, target markets, etc.).

Automatically collected data

  • Authentication cookies required to keep you signed in.
  • Basic server logs needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Product analytics. How the site is used — pages visited, features used, and where a visit came from (for example, a link in an ad or another website). This is stored in a first-party cookie and used to understand which parts of the product work and which marketing reaches people who find TeaKo useful.
  • Session recordings. We record how pages are interacted with — clicks, scrolling and navigation — so we can see where the product is confusing. Text you type into forms is masked, and the pages that display your resume, skill analysis and tailored resume content are excluded from recording entirely.
  • Advertising measurement. When we run ads, an advertising pixel records that a visit happened and that an account was created, so we can tell which ads brought people who found TeaKo useful. See “Third-party services” below.

How we use information

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process your resume using AI models to extract skills and generate personalised job recommendations and resume suggestions.
  • Improve product quality, reliability, and security.

Third-party services

We use third-party infrastructure and AI services to operate the platform, including cloud databases, private object storage, and Anthropic’s Claude API for resume analysis and tailoring. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We also use PostHog for the product analytics and session recordings described above. PostHog processes this data on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes. Its servers are located in the United States, so if you are outside the US this data is processed outside your country.

When we run ads, we use the Reddit advertising pixel on our public pages. It tells Reddit that a visit happened and that an account was created, so Reddit can report how its ads performed and so we can show ads to people who have visited before. It does not receive your resume, your skill analysis, your job matches, or anything you type into the product. You can stop it by blocking third-party scripts in your browser or by using an ad blocker; the product works normally either way.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your resume or analysis with advertising networks.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share data with the service providers described above. We do not share your resume with employers unless you explicitly choose to export or submit it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete a resume, we remove the uploaded file and extracted text. You can request full account deletion by contacting us.

Using TeaKo without an account

Some tools — including the free resume tailoring tool and the trial — let you upload a resume without creating an account. Because there is no account, there is no place for you to sign in and delete that upload yourself, so we delete it for you: the uploaded file, the extracted text and the generated results are removed automatically within 7 days.

If you create an account before then, that data moves to your account and follows the normal retention rules above. We keep an anonymised copy of the skills analysis — with your name and contact details removed — so that re-uploading the same resume does not have to be processed again.

When you paste a job posting link into the tailoring tool, our servers fetch that public page to read the job description. We store the job details alongside your tailored resume.

Children

TeaKo is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
