Kambo Energy Group is a certified minority-owned and -run social enterprise committed to improving home comfort, safety, and energy efficiency in underrepresented communities. Founded in 2009, Kambo was created in response to a lack of diverse participation in utility and government retrofit programming from households with low-to-moderate incomes, diverse multicultural communities, Indigenous communities, and other harder-to-reach groups. Since then, we have evolved to advance equitable access to energy, transportation, and housing programs through scalable, community-led solutions. Since inception, Kambo’s community-centered approach has helped drive change by ensuring programs and projects respond to real-life needs, perspectives, and challenges. We do this by: 🔹 Partnering with utilities, governments, Indigenous and Tribal Nations across North America. 🔹 Designing and delivering award-winning programs and initiatives co-created with historically underserved populations. 🔹 Centering community priorities by hiring locally, empowering stakeholders, and amplifying lived experience.
