Operate specialized equipment such as Narrowband UVB and photodynamic therapy units. Log pathology samples and coordinate with appropriate laboratories. Ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control practices. Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations. Ensure adherence to organizational infection control protocols. Prepare and assist with dermatological and cosmetic procedures, including ED&Cs, biopsies (shave and punch), ILK, I&D, Botox, laser treatments, excisions, and other surgical interventions. This role requires a proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care and operational excellence. Document patient histories, including history of present illness (HPI), medical, surgical, and family history, medications, and allergies. 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
